Use the Images panel to search Easil’s image library, your own uploaded images, and brand images while you are editing a design.
Search for an image
- Open your design.
- Select Images from the editor sidebar.
- Enter a keyword in the search field at the top of the panel.
- Use the image source dropdown beside the search field to choose where Easil should search.
- Press ENTER to run the search.
- Review the matching images in the panel.
- Drag an image onto the canvas, or select it to add it to your design.

Choose an image source
The image source dropdown controls which library Easil searches. The options available can depend on your team, brand setup, and design.
Common image sources include:
- Stock Images — search stock image libraries for photos you can add to your design.
- This Design — find images that are already used in the current design.
- My Images — search images you have uploaded to Easil.
- Brand Images — search image assets saved to your Brand Kit.
- Brand Logos — find logos saved to your Brand Kit.
- Smart Images — search Smart Image assets when they are available for your team.
If you do not see the result you expect, check that the right image source is selected before trying a different keyword.
Search stock images
Select Stock Images, then search with a simple keyword such as “summer”, “coffee”, or “menu”. Easil shows matching stock images in the panel so you can choose one that suits your design.

Search your uploaded images
Uploaded images are easier to find when their file names include clear keywords. For example, a file named summer-menu-cocktail.jpg is easier to search for later than IMG_0421.jpg.
If you cannot find an uploaded image, select My Images, then try searching for part of the file name, the subject of the image, or another keyword you used when naming the file.
Tips for better image searches
- Start with a simple keyword, then narrow the search if there are too many results.
- Try alternate words for the same idea, such as “coffee”, “cafe”, or “drink”.
- Check whether you are looking in the right image source or library.
- Use specific words for style, colour, object, location, or season when relevant.
- Rename important uploaded files before adding them to Easil so they are easier to find again.
After adding an image, you can crop, resize, or replace it to suit the layout of your design.
